Professor D. S. Ranawaka often called DSR by his students, is the leading expert in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

He was a former Professor in the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Colombo – Sri Lanka. He is the pioneer and father of the Professional Counselling movement in Sri Lanka. Professor Ranawaka has addressed at various business organizations and academic bodies regarding Trauma, Anxiety and Somatoform and other psychological disorders. He has long term experience and practice on Child Psychology and Sexual Deviations and disorders.

He is an expert witness in Court Cases concerning deviant disorders child negligence and divorce.
